I always feel better about a situation if I can make a list for it. It's the most basic organization tool there is. You write everything down so you can see it all in one place. Seeing everything at once helps you know what you're dealing with. The list is the starting point. Then you can start working with the information, prioritizing, categorizing, separating things into manageable chunks. It helps reduce stress because you have a handle on the situation.
Then when you complete something on the list you get the satisfaction of crossing it off the list. Ahh... such a nice feeling!
Throughout the years my list making has evolved and improved. I have even taken it a step farther and used my graphic design skills to make customized forms for specific jobs. Instead of using a pad of lined paper I can fill out a clean looking, well designed form that makes quick work of the task at hand.
Making these organizational tools has become second nature to me. I actually enjoy the process of making them. It's fun to figure out the best layout for each form according to the specific job. It recently occurred to me that other people might benefit from these forms as well. So I have decided to start offering them in my etsy store. But if you are one of my patrons or newsletter members you might just get them for free. Here are some of the forms I plan on making available in the near future:
